What to do before we arrive

A few minutes of the right action limits thousands in interior damage.

• Catch water in buckets and lay towels to control spread
• If a ceiling is bulging with trapped water, puncture it low in one controlled spot over a bucket

• Photograph everything — interior and exterior — before cleanup
• Do not go on a wet or storm-damaged roof yourself

Storm damage and insurance
